Back to News
42 County of Monterey executives and senior administrators were presented with their CSAC Executive Credential certificates at the County of Monterey Board of Supervisor’s meeting that took place on October 14, 2025. The 2024-2025 Monterey CSAC Institute Cohort began on October 17, 2024, and concluded on June 12, 2025. These graduates were a part of Monterey’s second cohort to complete the program, Monterey’s third CSAC Institute Cohort launched with 50 participants on October 16, 2025.
During the Board Presentation, CAO Sonia De La Rosa, Supervisor Wendy Root Askew, and Supervisor Kate Daniels, all CSAC Institute Alumni, spoke regarding their positive experiences with the CSAC Institute and the lasting benefits. Supervisor Luis A. Alejo, who serves as Second Vice President on the CSAC Executive Committee and Vice President on the California Counties Foundation Board, gave remarks on the opportunities that the CSAC Institute provides:
“The County of Monterey [has] 6000 plus employees… we all want to see them have the opportunity to rise to the top within their respective profession. This is what it takes for them to have these opportunities: to be supported by their CAO and their Board of Supervisors, and that they hear how beneficial this [program] was to their colleagues… Hopefully it inspires others to follow up on this training, because we want them to achieve their very best and full potential and it’s only made possible by this kind of institute that CSAC offers to County Supervisors and County Staff through California.”
The following graduates earned their credentials at the Monterey campus. They join a California network of over 1,800 graduates.
