WEBINAR: AB 339 Explained: New Labor Notice Rules for Public Contracting
Back to News
CSAC, RCRC, UCC, CSDA, Cal Cities, and Liebert Cassidy Whitmore have teamed up to bring you a webinar on what agencies need to know about implementing AB 339 (Ortega, 2025). This session will offer both policy context and a technical breakdown of the new requirements for contracting under the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, along with strategies for implementation.
Effective January 1, 2026, Chapter 687, Statutes of 2025 (AB 339, Ortega) will require local agencies to notify union representatives at least 45 days in advance before issuing a request for proposals, request for quotes, or to renew or extend an existing contract for services within the scope of work for represented employees. Learn what it means for your county, get your questions answered, and get ready for implementation.
