California Earned Income Tax Credit Webinar

January 23, 2020

John Burton Advocates for Youth (JBAY), will host a webinar, CalEITC 101: Expanded State Tax Credit Puts Cash into the Pockets of California’s Most Vulnerable Transition-Age Youth, on Thursday, January 30, 2020, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

The Governor’s 2019-2020 budget, expanded the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC), a cash-back tax credit, from $400 million to $1 billion. More than 600,000 young adults in California, including current and former foster youth, are expected to qualify for the CalEITC this tax season. The additional funding would positively impact the lives of transition age youth, a vulnerable population in communities statewide.

The webinar will include JBAY and the California Franchise Tax Board to discuss strategies to help transition-age youth access the CalEITC. Please register for the webinar, here.
