California Mortgage Relief Program Webinar Recording Now Available

California recently launched the California Mortgage Relief Program to provide one-time payments to qualified homeowners who have fallen behind on their housing payments or to reverse missed payments of up to $80,000 as part of the state’s Housing is Key initiative. The $1 billion in federal funding for this program comes from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

U.S. Senator Alex Padilla co-hosted an informational webinar on the California Mortgage Relief Program with the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) and the California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency (BCSH) earlier this week. The purpose of the webinar was to engage community stakeholders throughout California and to increase participation in the new Mortgage Relief Program.

The webinar featured a presentation from CalHFA regarding the new program.

A recording of the webinar is available here. The presentation slides are available here, and the program toolkit is available here.
