California Social Work Hall of Distinction Committee Requests Nominations

The California Social Work Hall of Distinction will be honoring individuals who embody the commitment of the social work profession or practice in October of this year, coinciding with the National Association of Social Workers California Annual Conference.

The 2021 Distinction Committee is looking for a diverse pool of nominees who are representative of the communities they serve and wanted to share this nomination information with counties.  The Committee is dedicated to uplifting stories of healing, self-determination, liberation, and solidarity of diverse social workers whose work has been transformative for communities across the state. Eligible nominees can be considered practitioners as well as academics. Additional criteria include an advanced degree(s) in social work. Nominations need to be submitted by next week on Friday, January 15, 2021.

Nomination instructions and form can be found on the Hall of Distinction website here. The form can also be downloaded and emailed to CSWA@usc.edu or mail the completed nomination packet to the address provided.
