Clean California Local Grant Guidelines Now Available

August 27, 2021

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has released draft grant guidelines for the Clean California Local Grant Program as part of the nearly $1.1 billion Clean California Program created pursuant to AB 149, the transportation budget trailer bill.

The two-year Clean California Local Grant Program includes approximately $296 million for communities to beautify and improve local streets and roads, tribal lands, parks, pathways, and transit centers to restore pride in public spaces.

AB 149 required Caltrans to develop guidelines, including project selection criteria and evaluation metrics for the Clean California Local Grant Program, and Caltrans is inviting stakeholders to two upcoming workshops to provide input on the draft guidelines.

Upcoming workshop dates are available below.

A fact sheet on the Clean California Local Grant Program is available here.
