Community Care Expansion Program Application Portal Closes June 1

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) will be closing the Community Care Expansion (CCE) application portal on June 1, 2023, unless funds are exhausted sooner. The CCE Program provides funding for acquisition, construction, and rehabilitation projects to preserve and expand adult and senior care facilities that serve SSI/SSP and CAPI applicants and recipients, including those who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Based on available funding, CDSS is particularly encouraging applications from projects located in the following regions:

  • Los Angeles County
  • Sacramento Area (El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, Yuba)
  • Central Coast (Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz)
  • Balance of the State (Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Inyo, Lake, Lassen, Mariposa, Mendocino, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne)
  • Tribal Set Aside

Eligible applicants, including counties, cities, tribal entities, and nonprofit organizations, are encouraged to submit applications in response to the CCE Request for Applications dated January 31, 2022 as soon as possible. Our 58 Counties
