CSAC Institute Re-Opens with Online Courses

August 6, 2020

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, CSAC Institute Dean Bill Chiat played a key role in helping transition to online learning with the creation of the Pandemic Leadership Resource Library. As the Institute continues to transition and cope with both COVID-19 and the unexpected passing of our friend and colleague, we know Bill would be proud to see classes resume this September with an exciting mix of new and popular subjects.

The health and safety of our entire County Family — and the nearly 40 million people you serve — continues to be the utmost importance to CSAC. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the CSAC Institute for Excellence in County Government has moved all classes online.

We are offering three new classes this fall to reflect the challenges and realities of governing today:

  • Finding the Blind Spots: Personal & Organizational Best Practices & Strategies for Countering Implicit Bias;
  • Lead and Manage from Afar: Nuts and Bolts of Facilitating Virtual Meetings and Teams;  and
  • Living and Leading in Chaotic Times: Leadership and Change.

We are also offering some Institute favorites, including How to be Human at Work; Realignment 101; and Thinking and Acting Strategically in Conditions of Uncertainty.

Be sure to register early as space is limited. Read more about the courses here.
