CSAC is requesting feedback on our draft response to the recent
Safety and Enforcement Division Report issued by the California
Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). CSAC has been working on
behalf of California’s Counties to make sure that their voices
are heard at the CPUC, and to achieve appropriate compensation
for costs incurred during the PSPS events of 2019.
Our counsel has drafted a memorandum regarding the opening
comments on the CPUC Safety and Enforcement Division Report. This
memorandum outlines the issues in the proceeding, including: (1)
an evaluation of the implementation of the 2019 PSPS events; and
(2) corrective actions based on the 2019 events. The memo
includes both corrective actions and compensation. CSAC is
seeking comments on our memorandum directed to the CPUC.
