CSAC’s Jenny Tan Honored as Sacramento Business Journal 40 Under 40
October 14, 2021
Each year, the Sacramento Business Journal spotlights people under the age of 40 with a strong record of innovation in their fields and outstanding performance in their businesses. Honorees are selected by a group of their peers — all former 40 Under 40 recipients — and the Business Journal’s editorial team.
Jenny Tan, who joined CSAC in June as Senior Manager, Public Affairs and Member Services, is among this year’s honorees. Since joining CSAC, Jenny has already led several efforts to refresh CSAC social media presence, member services offerings and meetings/events.
Prior to CSAC, Jenny served as Public Information Office for Yolo County, where during the dual crises of COVID-19 response and wildfire mitigation and response, Jenny supervised a staff of 13 in the County Joint Information Center. She is well versed in social media strategies, increasing impressions and viewership on County media outlets and channels. Prior to joining Yolo County, Jenny served as the PIO for Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of California, Davis.
Jenny has received many accolades and recognitions in addition to the Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list. She was named 2021 Woman of the Year for Yolo County by Senator Bill Dodd in honor of her exemplary service during the COVID-19 crisis, recognized as Top-40 public affairs professional in the 2021 ’40 Under 40 List’ by the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs, and honored as a 2020 Difference Maker by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors.
Outside of work, Jenny is a wife and mother to three active boys. She’s an avid reader and movie buff.
Please join the entire team in congratulating Jenny on this significant honor.
