Digital Inclusion Week

October 3 – 7, 2022 marks a special week in recognition and celebration of Digital Inclusion. Organizations and individuals throughout the nation are hosting special events and campaigns to promote digital equity in their communities. This year’s theme is “Turning Our Moment into Movement,” and California has mobilized through Get Connected! California. Through October, schools, college campuses, county offices, and libraries throughout California are mobilizing to get eligible, low-income households signed up for affordable broadband access.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is helping millions of eligible households throughout the nation save hundreds of dollars on home internet. This federally funded initiative offers a $30 monthly discount on home internet (up to $75 per month for households on qualifying tribal lands) and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a computer or a tablet.

Any household that participates in the free and reduced-price school lunch program, CalFresh or SNAP, Lifeline, the Pell Grant, WIC (Women, Infants & Children), Medi-Cal, or Supplemental Security Income is eligible for the ACP benefit and can enroll today at: http://internetforallnow.org/applytoday.

In addition, on October 22, 2022, ACP is hosting in-person enrollment assistance at several locations throughout the state. For more information, visit: www.internetforallnow.org/events.
