FPPC Webinar on Feb 15: SB 1439 and the Political Reform Act (“Levine Act”)

Next week, the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) will host a webinar on the provisions and implications of SB 1439 (Glazer, Statutes of 2022), which, among other things, prohibits local government agency officers from accepting, soliciting, or directing a contribution of more than $250 from anyone with a license, permit, or other entitlement pending consideration or being processed by the local government agency. This measure took effect January 1, 2023, and the FPPC adopted regulations to administer these provisions in June 2023. More information about SB 1439 is available on the FPPC website.

The webinar will cover why SB 1439 was enacted, who these provisions apply to, how to comply with the requirements of SB 1439, and more. Attendance will be limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to sign up soon. Information to attend the webinar is included below:
