Grant Opportunity for Fire Prevention Projects

The California Fire Foundation is accepting application for its Fire Prevention Grant Program through July 15. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis for awards of up to $15,000 per grantee and early application is recommended.

This grant opportunity is made available through the support of an Edison International award to the California Fire Foundation and enables support for projects that include, but are not limited to, small-scale mitigation projects, habitat restoration, fire prevention education and planning, first responder training and community outreach and disaster preparedness. Applications open: June 1, 2020

Deadline: July 15, 2020

Funding Range: Up to $15,000 per grantee

Eligibility: California-based fire departments, firefighter associations, fire safe councils, nonprofit safety-focused, community organizations.

Projects related to: Personal protective equipment, specialized firefighting equipment, fuel mitigation, first responder training, fire safety and prevention education, and planning and outreach programs, subject to COVID-19 social distancing and/or state reopening guidelines, where applicable.
