Newsom Administration Seeks Input On Resilient Water Portfolio

August 8, 2019

What should California do now to make sure we can meet the water needs of communities, the economy, and the environment as the climate warms?

CSAC, the Natural Resources Agency, California Environmental Protection Agency, and Department of Food and Agriculture seek input from county stakeholders as the Administration works to prepare a set of water resilient portfolio recommendations for Governor Newsom. The Governor asked for recommendations in late April with an executive order. State agencies have been soliciting recommendations this summer, including through public listening sessions. The agencies would appreciate getting county suggestions by early fall and expect to make draft recommendations public in October.

If your county would like to make comments regarding a resilient water portfolio in California, please e-mail your ideas to input@waterresilience.ca.gov with a CC to ncronenwett@counties.org.

In addition, CSAC will reach out to counties directly to ask for county comments to include in a written letter with suggestions to the administration.
