State Utility Agencies to Hold Public Workshop on Water Affordability Impacts During COVID

October 22, 2020

On Friday, October 30th from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will hold a public workshop on water affordability impacts from COVID-19. The workshop will include panel discussions on solutions to customer protections, arrearage management, fee forgiveness, CARE funding, and small water system operation impacts.

The workshop is an opportunity to provide public input to the SWRCB. Counties may be interested in the opportunity to hear and voice concerns and issues related to small water system operations and waste water treatment. For more information about the workshop, please visit the SWRCB website here. The SWRCB will post an agenda on its website during the week of the workshop. If interested, please register here at this link.
