The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will
be hosting a workshop on the Clean California Local Grant
Program to discuss common questions related to the application
process on Wednesday, January 12 from 1:30 – 3:00
p.m.
Caltrans developed the Clean California Local Grant Program as
part of the nearly $1.1 billion Clean California Program created
pursuant to
AB 149, the transportation budget trailer bill.
The two-year Clean California Local Grant Program includes
approximately $296 million for communities to beautify and
improve local streets and roads, tribal lands, parks, pathways,
and transit centers to restore pride in public spaces.
The program guidelines, application materials, grant agreement,
and FAQs are finalized and Caltrans is currently accepting grant
applications. These materials are
available here. Grant applications are due by
February 1, 2022.
