Description:

The Assistant Director of Resource Management serves as a member of the County’s management team, responsible for overseeing and monitoring the internal operations of the department directly and through subordinate managers, ensuring the delivery of the department’s services to the public. The position further supports the Director of Resource Management in interacting with the public, other agencies, and elected/appointed officials, participating in community meetings, and making presentations.

Qualifications:

As the Assistant Director of Resource Management, you will perform managerial duties for assigned services and activities, including: assisting in evaluating the operational performance of divisions, reviewing changes in state laws and regulations that could impact the delivery of department services, coordinating plans for scheduled contract work, representing the department in community and media outreach, assisting with budget preparation, and recommending new policies and/or procedures, with the goal of optimizing efficiency and improving customer service, including through the use of technology.
