$97,311.36 – $131,139.36 Annually

Description:

Assists in directing the maintenance activities on County and State owned or managed beaches and the public facilities in Marina del Rey. Some essential duties include: Assists the Division Chief in managing $14 million budget and a staff of over 145 budgeted positions. Coordinates the preparation, administration, and control of the Division budget, including the review and analysis of budget requests and preparing and revising recommendations in accordance with Division priorities and other considerations as directed by the Division Chief.

Qualifications:

OPTION I: Graduated from an accredited four-year college with a Bachelor’s Degree* in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field – AND – Three (3) years of experience 1) managing through subordinate supervisors a staff of crafts personnel, heavy equipment operators and grounds maintenance personnel, or 2) assisting in the direction and supervision of an infrastructure maintenance program and/or construction activities, including the use of a computerized maintenance management program. (Additional experience may substituted for education on a year for year basis, up to four (4) years.) – OR- OPTION II: Graduated from an accredited four-year college with a Bachelor’s Degree* in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field – AND - Three (3) years of experience at the level of Los Angeles County’s class of Beach Maintenance District Manager**, supervising the overall operation of a defined district***.
