Description:

MCWRA is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Water Resources Engineer and three Associate Water Resource Engineers in Operations, Dam Safety and Engineering, and Environmental Resources. Ideal candidates for Dam Safety will possess experience in the following: design, hydraulic structures, erosion control, dam embankments, levees, pumps, pipelines, and wells. Ideal candidate for Environmental Resources should possess a complex degree of knowledge relating to environmental laws, regulations, policies, CEQA and NEPA. Ideal candidate for Operations will have a strong background in maintaining and operating various water resource related facilities such as wells, pipeline, valves, gates, pumps, culverts and earthen channels.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources, civil engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited college program is desired.
Valid California certificate of registration as a civil engineer, or engineer in training certificate in accordance with Section 6730 of the California Business and Professions Code, is desirable.
Supervises and performs a variety of professional civil engineering duties in the planning, design, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of Agency’s flood control, water quality, and water production, storage, treatment and distribution facilities and systems; ensures adherence to professional standards, codes and Agency specifications. Environmental review and construction permit principles, procedures, and documents.
