Description:

The Resource Management Agency (RMA) seeks candidates for the position of Building Plans Examiner to perform the technical review of architectural and engineering plans for compliance with codes, ordinances, and related laws and regulations. This individual must have a working knowledge of and experience in the application of California Building Codes and related law and regulations governing building and construction safety, including building materials, safety standards and modern methods of residential, commercial and industrial construction.

Qualifications:

Working Knowledge of:
The California Building Codes and related laws and regulations governing building and construction safety. Building materials safety standards and modern methods of residential, commercial and industrial construction. Symbols, nomenclature and terminology used in building plan submittals. California Energy Commission, “Building Energy Efficiency standards.”.
