Salary:

$172,427.06 – $221,233.27 annually

Description:

Under general direction, to plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and evaluate Countywide children and youth policies and programs, services, and initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of all children within the County of Santa Clara. This position will work to develop, support, and advocate for transformational policies and system wide changes that support and strengthen coordinated early intervention and prevention practices, as well as trauma informed care, so that children have every opportunity to lead healthy productive lives. This position will serve as the catalyst for a solutions-oriented, multi-disciplinary approaches to improving the lives of children and their families.

Qualifications:

The required knowledge and abilities would typically be acquired through education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Psychology, Education, Business or Public Administration or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years administrative experience directing or overseeing the planning, delivery of services, and functions in a child and adolescent services program in a large organization. Child and youth policy work in the fields of education, social work, health, or early childhood development is preferred.
