Description:

The Chief Financial Officer (Senior Manager, Accounting) collaborates with the Human Services Agency’s executive leadership to implement short- and long-term fiscal strategies and policies, ensuring that federal, state and local revenues – as well as competitive grant funding – are optimized in alignment with County goals to deliver valuable services to more than 220,000 Ventura County residents who receive assistance from some 1,400 Agency staff with health, nutrition, employment, housing, child and adult protective services, and other programs.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in advancing the Mission, Vision, &Values of the County of Ventura, &goals of the Human Services Agency.
• Exceptional analytical skills, including the use of data driven methodology &financial strategy to best navigate complex, changing landscapes.
• Significant technical expertise including substantial budget acumen &accounting/financial experience.
• Impressive interpersonal &communication skills, including presenting information to executive leadership for decision-making.
• Exemplary leadership skills required to develop, coach, empower, motivate and manage staff.
• Strong, enduring commitment to continuous improvement through business process re-engineering, implementation of new technology, organizational change management, &adherence to best practices.
