Description:

The Chief Probation Officer is a senior executive management position appointed by the Merced County Superior Court, in conjunction with the County. This position reports to the County Executive Officer on County administrative, fiscal and personnel matters. The Chief Probation Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, directing and supervising the functions, and activities of the Juvenile and Adult Probation programs of the department and for the County Juvenile Justice Correctional Complex and alternative sentencing programs to incarceration.

This is an at-will Senior Executive position reporting to the County Executive Officer.
