$225,000 – $275,000

Description:

The County Administrator will provide professional advice to the Board of County Commissioners, leadership to outstanding staff, and ensure the continued success as a local government focused on community engagement and problem-solving. This community offers the best of metro amenities near preserved rural areas. The County Administrator serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Commissioners and ensures direction provided by the Board is implemented within budget. The Administrator is responsible for the coordination of all county services, preparation of the budget and capital improvement program, and general supervision of all county personnel.

Qualifications:

Minimum: bachelor’s degree with seven years local government experience and demonstrated leadership as executive-level administrator/manager, assistant administrator/manager, or department director.

Preferred: master’s degree, ICMA-CM, fiscal expertise in long-term financial forecasting and alternative revenue development; experience building partnerships; strategic planning and implementation experience; and human resource management skills. Experience and success managing and leading a complex, growing, metro area, working on regional issues and operationalizing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

After the time of appointment, the County Administrator may reside outside the County by express permission of the Board and as outlined in county code.
