Description:

The Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) of Customer Engagement and Strategic Initiatives will oversee and manage key functions of the Information Technology Services Department (IT Services) administration and fiscal divisions including, budget development for all divisions of IT services; rate development for an Internal Service Fund (ISF) environment; coordinating strategic plan development for the rest of the agency; managing large-scale regional projects; negotiating contracts that have county-wide impact for IT solutions; provide a wide variety of support to customers without embedded IT Services staff; and directly managing approximately 10 technical and non-technical staff.

Qualifications:

Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other closely related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in information systems management which includes experience in a variety of IT disciplines such as strategic and fiscal planning. Experience managing technology teams and concurrent technology projects and overseeing new technology implementations; maintaining effective working relationships; developing and managing program and/or operation budget, contract procurement and administration; strategic plan development; process improvement initiatives; conducting formal presentations; delivering essential information to all levels of an organization.
