Description:

Under general direction, to assist the Director of Public Works with planning, organizing, directing, and managing the County’s General Services Division; to have day-to-day responsibility for the coordination and supervision of major division of the Public Works Department; to provide highly responsible and technical staff support for general services studies and functions; and to do related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is an assistant department classification for the position which has the responsibility for assisting with managing and directing the General Services Division of Public Works including flood control operations at the Lake Siskiyou Box Canyon Project, Airports; Stage Transportation and Siskiyou Power Authority.

Qualifications:

Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:

Five years of increasingly responsible work experience in public works or like field in infrastructure planning, design, and construction work, including at least two years in an administrative management or supervisory position. See special requirements.
