Salary:

$158,583 – $203,471 Annually DOE

Description:

County of Santa Clara’s Department of Planning and Development is looking for its next Development Service Manager who will be responsible for the oversight of all building inspections, plan check, grading inspection permitting, and surveying activities of the Department.

The ideal candidate will be a committed, innovative leader with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills, along with a positive track record in organizational development. Successful candidates will possess a customer service orientation and demonstrated effectiveness in fostering strong collaborations both within and outside the Department.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate would typically possess education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in planning, engineering, architecture, building code enforcement, or a related field, and a minimum of three (3) years recent experience managing and directing one or more of the following functions and staff in a complex organization: plan check, permitting, building inspection, construction, code enforcement and/or surveying activities. It is highly desirable that the incumbent possess certification as a Certified Building Official (C.B.O.).
