Salary:

$15,879.07 – $19,300.67

Description:

The new Director will: – Cultivate strategic thinking to adjust strategies and overcome challenges while, including their employees in process improvement changes. – Work collaboratively with stakeholders in departments to understand and implement solution driven outcomes. – Be able to build trust, confidence and credibility while working with staff, other County departments, other cities, state and federal agencies, as well as the Board and executive Leadership on policy and key program initiatives – Effectively represent the County in contacts with Governmental agencies, community groups and various business, professional, educational, regulatory, and legislative organizations. -Establish impactful partnerships with commissions and community members on health and welfare issues.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, public health, mental health, psychology, social services, social work, or a closely related field; AND Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience managing the delivery of public health, social services, mental health, or other social services related programs, which included program, budget, and personnel administration experience. Experience in the public sector is preferred. Possession of a master’s degree in the fields listed above is strongly preferred.
