Description:

The County of San Diego is currently seeking application for the Director, Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs. This position will plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the administrative and operational activities for the Office in order to build on existing refugee programs and establish a priority of devoting County resources to the immigrant population. The Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs is part of the newly formed Department of Homeless Solutions and Equitable Communities in the Health and Human Services Agency. The focus of the Office is to build on existing refugee programs and establish a priority of devoting County resources to the immigrant population, regardless of immigration status. It will provide a central location for public questions and connection to County and community resources. Qualifications:

Qualifying candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of management level experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the classification. Experience must include at least one year of supervision. Note: A master’s degree or higher degree may substitute for a total of one year of experience and cannot be applied to the required one year of supervision
