$85,093 – $103,459/annually, with excellent benefits

Description:

San Joaquin County is recruiting for an experienced manager to oversee programs for the Employment and Economic Development Department (EEDD) of San Joaquin County and to provide oversight of regional and department programs, including contract management. The incumbent is a second-level manager that reports to the Director of EEDD and the Deputy Director of EEDD, directly supervises EEDD Division Managers and manages planning, policy and program direction activities.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a major in business or public administration, economics or closely related field.
Experience: Four years of increasingly responsible administrative, managerial or fiscal management work preferably in an employment training agency or social service agency, including two years of supervisory experience involving program planning and execution.
Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A master’s degree from an accredited college in business or public administration, economics, or closely related field may substitute for one year of the required general experience.
License: Valid California driver’s license.
