$94,764.80 – $115,211.20 Annually

Description:

Under general direction, the Emergency Services Officer plans, formulates, updates, and maintains the Napa County Emergency Services Plan; coordinates and manages emergency operations through the emergency operations center. This classification is designated as an “at will” classification. The Recruitment Process: 1. Applications are due by 5:00 P.M., Monday, October 11, 2021. 2. Oral Panel Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of October 25, 2021. Only the most qualified candidates from the Oral Panel Interviews will be placed on the eligibility list and referred to the hiring manager for further consideration. Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be: Experience: Four years of administrative, technical or operational experience in a governmental emergency services or disaster response agency, planning and executing emergency preparedness activities. Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, public safety/emergency management, disaster planning, or a related field. License or Certificate:* Possession of a valid California driver’s license. Possession of ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 & 800 Certifications is highly desirable.
