About the Community: The County seat and our offices are located in Yuba City, which is about 40 miles from Sacramento. The County, bounded by the Sacramento and Feather Rivers, encompasses 608 square miles. Sutter County is a general-law County with a population of approximately 75,000 and includes two incorporated cities, Yuba City and Live Oak. About the Position: This is an exciting time to join Sutter County’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Department’s executive leadership team. Through a Joint Powers Agreement Sutter County HHS also administers the only bi-county behavioral health system in California, providing behavioral health services to both Sutter and Yuba Counties. The current vacancy is in the Adult Services branch. A Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Social Science, Human Services, Health Administration, Public Health Administration, or closely related field. Four years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience in a health and human services agency which included program planning and evaluation, budget management, personnel management and performance evaluation, and policy development. Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
