As the County’s “champion” in leading efforts towards cost effective and efficient technology solutions, the Director serves as the catalyst in positively influencing the direction of ongoing and future technology decisions. The County is seeking a Director with the ability to stay abreast of changes in technology, evaluate their impact on a large and complex organization, and influence the work environment while providing exceptional service and support.

Qualifications:

Beyond driving the process and measurement aspects of IT, the ideal candidate will be adept at project management and experienced at delivering end products or systems that meet or exceed expectations and are delivered on time and on budget. A positive demeanor, a collaborative working style, excellent communication skills, and high level of energy and persistence are highly desired. To be considered for this position minimum qualifications must be demonstrated. Most typically, a qualified candidate would have related coursework and a comprehensive information technology background with at least five years of senior or executive level management experience, ideally within a large and complex governmental operation. An educational background that includes a BS or BA in a related discipline is highly desirable.
