Description:

PDS has a current vacancy in the Advance Planning Division. The selected candidate in this division will independently contribute to a wide variety of long-range planning efforts of moderate to high complexity. Advance Planning projects may include General Plan or Community Plan updates, ordinance or regulation updates, housing policy, Climate Action Plan implementation, County-wide conservation plan preparation and implementation, public engagement meeting facilitation, graphic display and other public outreach material preparation, or other special long range planning projects

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency, in city and regional planning or a related field AND, three (3) years of progressively responsible professional level experience, OR,
2. A master’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency, in one of the fields stated above, AND, two (2) years of progressively responsible professional level experience as described above; OR,
3. One (1) year of experience as a Land Use/Environmental Planner II with the County of San Diego.
