$97,817.76 – $118,898.16 Annually

Description:

Under general direction, to plan, coordinate and manage all operations of the Collection and Technical Services Division of the County Library; and to do other related work as required. Distinguishing Characteristics This is a single position management classification reporting to the Deputy County Librarian and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Collection Department and Technical Services Division of the County Library. The incumbent exercises direct supervision over professional, technical, and clerical staff. Due to the nature of the services provided to the community, incumbents may be required to be available to travel to various branches or outlets throughout the County.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications License Required: Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator’s license. Out of state valid motor vehicle operator’s license will be accepted during the application process. Education: Possession of a Master’s of Library Sciences degree from an American Library Association accredited school. Experience: Three (3) years of full-time equivalent professional public library experience, which must have included one (1) year of supervisory experience. Desirable Qualifications: Prior experience with collection development Prior experience with Acquisitions or Cataloging
