Description:

Under direction from the Deputy CEO, the successful candidate will plan, organize, oversee, coordinate and review the work of staff providing support to CCCERA’s Members Services Department; manage the development, maintenance and administration of membership records and files, including CCCERA’s Pension Administration System (CPAS); oversee benefits calculation processes to verify benefit amounts are determined in accordance with all plan provisions; oversee member communications; participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned areas; recommend appropriate staffing and service levels; recommend/administer policies and procedures; prioritize and allocate available resources; and perform related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration or closely related field and five years of increasingly responsible experience in benefits, insurance or pension administration, at least two years of which must have been at a supervisory level. One year of full-time experience with a defined benefit plan is preferred. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide management oversight to the overall automated systems supporting CCCERA’s membership operations; advanced technical knowledge of data validation, reconciliation and analysis; and strong problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills.
