Description:

Ventura County invites applications for a Planner I/II position with an excellent benefits package and salary range from $50,778.23 to $79,607.46 annually; salary dependent upon career experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will possess land-use planning experience including familiarity with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Guidelines.

Qualifications:

Candidates will assist or perform progressively complex professional planning work involving data collection and analysis, report preparation, and public contact in the zoning (permitting) and/or planning programs sections. Desired candidates will have the ability to review, interpret, and apply planning and zoning ordinances and/or general plan policies to land-use projects; have a Bachelor’s degree in planning or a closely related field (e.g.: Public Policy Administration, Environmental Studies, Landscape Architecture, etc.); and one or more years of demonstrated work experience related to land-use planning.
