The Port is currently recruiting for the position of Port Assistant Management Analyst for the Human Resources Department. Under immediate supervision, the incumbent performs a wide-variety of professional and analytical work in a variety of assignments, including, but not limited to, human resources and personnel functions; equal opportunity; governmental relations; budget preparation, review, analysis and administration; business operations or labor relations; organizational and/or operational analysis; aviation, maritime and commercial real estate projects; general business development and marketing initiatives; development, implementation and evaluation of employee programs; grant program performance; conducting analyses of assigned program policies and procedures and making recommendations for improvement; researching and compiling various data for the preparation and presentation of internal and external analyses, reports, and other types of publications and performs a variety of analytical duties relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

Typical requirements include graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in public or business administration, accounting, finance or a related field plus one year of experience performing analytical work. Incumbents in this job are expected to operate automotive vehicles in the performance of assigned duties. Due to assignments and hours worked, public transportation may not be an efficient method for traveling to required locations. Individuals appointed will be required to maintain a valid Class C California Driver’s License. This status must be maintained for the duration of employment at the Port of Oakland. Additional Requirements: This classification requires each incumbent to successfully complete a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check, which will include a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and a Security Threat Assessment (STA), prior to being considered for this position. This status must be maintained for the duration of employment at the Airport.
