StopWaste is hiring a Regional Economic Competitiveness Officer (RECO) to support a Bay Area construction innovation cluster that will build regional economic resilience, help alleviate the housing crisis and reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions. This position is funded by a Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. StopWaste is a dynamic, team-based organization that provides thought leadership and incubates innovative approaches to system transformation. The RECO will be an integral member of our built environment team and will be responsible for coordinating the continued growth and development of the regional growth cluster. We’re looking for a seasoned coalition-builder that can integrate economic development and sustainability objectives. Responsibilities include advancing circular economic business models, promoting clean tech building material supply chains and pursuing construction innovation opportunities.
