Salary:

$36.36 – $45.40/hour

Description:

We are searching for a Public Information Specialist who is an independent worker and adept at project management, comfortable handling news media and experienced with managing a variety of content on several platforms including social media, the county website and podcasts. The most qualified candidate will have significant experience with writing news releases, graphic design, video production, paid advertising and marketing campaign development. Previous experience working for an elected board or government agency is a huge plus. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who is adept at building strong relationships, is super creative and not afraid to try something new.

Qualifications:

Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible professional level communications, media and/or public information experience including spokesperson responsibilities and/or developing and implementing public relations programs. Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in English, journalism, marketing, communication, public relations, or a related field.
