The annual salary for this position is $130,000.

Description:

The Road Maintenance and Operations Division Manager will lead a division of 247 team members charged with maintaining, preserving, and operating the largest County public road system in the State of California. The vast network of 3,488 miles of roadway and 570 bridges provide a wide range of logistical, operational, and geographic challenges for the position and the division. The operational focus is the development and implementation of a comprehensive work plan that includes clear and defined approaches and measurable results geared to preserve and improve the county road and bridge network.

Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a closely related field and five years of full-time, paid work experience supervising staff responsible for the construction or maintenance of roads and bridges. Additional years of qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on a year- for-year basis, where one year of experience is equivalent to 30 semester units of coursework. A California registered Civil P.E. is highly desirable, but not required.
