Description:

This position will be responsible for managing the Substance Use Disorder Services System of Care for the County of Santa Cruz, Behavioral Health Division, including provision of direct substance use disorder services, contracted services with local partners, oversight of the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System Waiver for Santa Cruz County, submission of Network Adequacy Reports to State Department of Healthcare Services, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements, contract development, development and refinement of performance measures, annual reporting and presentations to the Board of Supervisors, supervision and oversight of County staff in SUD Services Division, and ongoing program development.

Qualifications:

Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and abilities, is qualifying. A typical way to obtain these knowledge and abilities would be:
Five years of experience in hospital or health care administration, three of which have been in the mental health or alcohol and drug field plus a Master’s Degree in hospital administration, public health administration, public administration, psychology, social work, nursing or counseling from an accredited college or university. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education. A clinical license as an alcohol and drug counselor is strongly desired but not required.
