Salary: $8,720 – $11,909 monthly

Description:

The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible to plan, organize and manage an engineering division of the Public Works Department such as Design, Construction or Transportation and Development. Critical duties include managing the most complex, innovative and large-scale engineering projects, preparing and managing a division budget, and managing a team of professional and technical staff directly and through subordinate supervisors.

Qualifications:

Any combination of training, education and/or experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities and required conditions of employment listed above is qualifying. An example of a way these requirements might be acquired is:

Education:
Equivalent to completion of a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at an accredited college or university

AND

Experience:
Four years of professional and supervisory public works engineering experience with at least two years at a level equivalent to Civil Engineer at Monterey County.
