The Contra Costa County Public Works Department is offering an excellent employment opportunity to fill a vacant Senior Civil Engineer position, located in Martinez, CA. Under general direction of a division manager, a Senior Civil Engineer assists in the day-to-day operation and administration of a major engineering division in the Public Works Department; performs complex civil engineering work that involves responsibility for an engineering program including supervision of a staff of engineers and/or technicians; acts for the division manager in the latter’s absence; and performs related work as required. Qualifications:

Licenses Required:
Possession of a valid certification of registration as a Civil Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers.
Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Out of State valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License will be accepted during the application process.
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time, or its equivalent, professional civil engineering experience, which must have included a minimum of one (1) year at a level equivalent to an Associate Civil Engineer in the Contra Costa County Public Works Department.
