Description:

The County of Nevada, California, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks a Senior Planner to perform professional planning work; prepare, adopt and implement state-mandated General Plan elements and amendments; supervise and lead one of the basic functions of the office (Resource and Advance and/or Current Planning); and perform related work as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in planning, community development or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, and three years of responsible professional planning experience at a level equivalent to Nevada County’s Associate Planner classification. AICP certification highly desirable.
