The County of Santa Cruz is currently recruiting for two Analysts to join the Employment Services Division (aka: Recruiting Division) and the Risk Division of the Personnel Department. Both positions are alternately staffed and may be filled at either level. Employment Services Division Manager Position: We are seeking a resourceful, organized and driven individual to serve as the Employment Services Division Manager. This position will oversee three recruitment teams, the Talent Acquisition Analyst and front desk staff for a total of ten budgeted positions. The Employment Services Division Manager will be responsible for leading executive level recruitments and managing the teams who support all other recruitments across 20+ departments. Risk Analyst Position: We are seeking a human resources professional who will work with the Risk Manager in administering, developing and supervising the County’s insurance programs and loss control programs in public liability, property risks, vehicular loss catastrophe insurances and fidelity bonding.

Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying, unless otherwise specified. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Senior Personnel Analyst: Equivalent to graduation from college with a degree in Personnel Administration, Management, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Law or a closely related field, and three years of professional personnel experience. Principal Personnel Analyst: Equivalent to graduation from college with a degree in Personnel Administration, Management, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Law or a closely related field and four years of increasingly responsible professional personnel experience which included assignments in major program areas, with two years of experience supervising professional staff.
