Salary:

Monthly Salary – Range A: $5,263.50 to $6,398.00; Range B: $5,526.25 to $6,718.14.

Description:

Initial appointments may be made at either Range “A” or Range “B”, whichever is deemed most appropriate by the appointing authority, based on the appointee’s personal qualifications, level of independence/supervision under which the assigned duties are performed, and the relative difficulty of the duties of the position compared to those of the other positions in the class.

Special Assistant, Board of Supervisors independently perform a variety of legislative
and administrative duties and/or special projects and program
assignments for a member of the Board of Supervisors.

Qualifications:

One year of paid or volunteer experience performing administrative, public liaison and/or analytical duties for governmental / public agencies and/or community-based organizations which required knowledge and abilities in the areas of government legislative processes, local government functions, and/or media and public relations. Governmental experience in administrative support services is preferable although experience in private enterprise may contain some of the necessary background.
