Getting to Know CSAC Administrative Assistant Madison Burton

March 17, 2022

One of CSAC’s newest team members is Administrative Assistant Madison Burton, who started with CSAC on February 7 to support the Executive team with administrative and meeting planning needs. Madison’s positive outlook and range of skills are already an asset to the CSAC organization.

CSAC recently had the pleasure of learning more about Madison’s background, goals and motivations. Below are her responses.

Q: Please share a little bit about yourself.

I am a Sacramento native and attended Sonoma State University, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I have spent most of my career working in public affairs and have worked on national, state, and local campaigns for a variety of clients. I am supported by my family who also lives in the area, as well as my boyfriend and my cat, Brando.

Q: What are you looking forward to while working at CSAC?

I am looking forward to getting to know the entire team! In this post-pandemic work life, I am eager to make connections as well as provide support to my team members.

Q: Do you have any work goals for the year?

My biggest goal of the year is to assist the Executive Team to perform at an even higher level than they have been.

Q: What are you currently reading or watching?

I am currently watching ‘Veep’ for the first time and loving every second! Julie Louis Dreyfus is hysterical!

Q: What is a hobby you like to do?

I love cooking. I could spend hours in the kitchen trying new recipes and creating meals that my friends and family will enjoy.

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment to date has been joining the CSAC team! I have always heard about CSAC and the amazing work being done. It’s an honor to now be on the team, supporting our local governments.

Q: What motivates you to work hard?

My motivation in life and work is my drive to do better than the day before. I embrace the idea of taking on a challenge so that the next time I come across it, I can achieve even better results than the first time around.
