Profiles in Leadership
Merced County Supervisor Daron McDaniel
September 16, 2021
CSAC is only as strong as its membership. This week’s Profiles in Leadership spotlights Merced County Supervisor Daron McDaniel, who is currently in his second term as County Supervisor for District 3. Supervisor McDaniel currently serves as Vice Chair on CSAC’s Agriculture, Environment, and Natural Resources Policy Committee and is a strong advocate for addressing the problems and shortfalls of rural, low-population counties, including rural broadband deployment, COVID-19 relief aid, and access to water. Supervisor McDaniel also serves as Immediate Past Chair for the Rural County Representatives of California and on the McSwain Municipal Advisory Council. In addition to his work on behalf of Counties, Supervisor McDaniel has been a Merced County resident for more than 30 years, graduating from Merced High School, Merced College and CSU Stanislaus. He continues to utilize his broad network of partners and contacts at the state and federal levels to better serve the residents of Merced County. Thank you, Supervisor McDaniel, for your ongoing leadership on behalf of California Counties.
