Board of State and Community Corrections Holds First Meeting of 2018

The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) is holding their first Board meeting of 2018 on Thursday, February 8 at 10:00 am. The meeting will be held at 2590 Venture Oaks Way, Room 101 in Sacramento. Agenda topics include: a legislative update, requested approval of the Juvenile Title 15 and 24 revisions, the SB 863 Santa Clara County Scope change, and the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) program request for proposals. NACo Webinar: County Roles and Opportunities in Reentry Planning

The National Association of Counties (NACo) will host the County Roles and Opportunities in Reentry Planning webinar on Thursday, February 22nd from 11:00 am – 12:15 pm. This webinar will highlight strategies and tools that counties can use to assist individuals returning to their communities after incarceration. Types of assistance include employment training, providing connections to physical and behavioral health treatment and reentry planning. CPOC Conference – Partnership for CCR Success: A Better Future for Probation Foster Youth

The Chief Probation Officers of California (CPOC) will be hosting their Second Annual Conference on the Continuum of Care Reform (CCR), Partnership for CCR Success: A Better Future for Probation Foster Youth. The conference will be held on Monday, April 16th and Tuesday, April 17th in Sacramento, California. This will not be a training conference but a conference meant to create an exciting space to share ideas, lessons learned and problem-solve. This conference is open to probation departments, child welfare and behavioral health departments, community based organizations, short term residential treatment program and group home providers, foster family agencies, court related agencies including judges, district attorneys and public defenders and state agencies. Save the Date – Upcoming 2018 Trial Court Revenue Distribution Trainings

The dates have been set for the 2018in-person statewide Trial Court Revenue Distribution Trainings in San Diego and Sacramento. The dates are as follows: Thursday, May 3rd in San Diego and Tuesday, May 15th & Wednesday, May 16th in Sacramento

This is the sixth consecutive year the Judicial Council and State Controller’s Office will partner to provide in-person training on trial court revenue distribution and other topics. This training was established by the Judicial Council’s Court-Ordered Debt Task Force in 2013 for court, county, city, and parking entities that perform revenue collection and distribution activities. All three training sessions will contain the same information. Participation by phone will not be available.

In an effort to tailor the training to meet your needs, if there are any topics or specific questions you would like covered during the training, please submit your questions and/or suggestions to revenuedistribution@jud.ca.gov.
